This tour, led by the professional, multilingual team of Iraqi Travellers Cafe, will explore lesser-known historical areas of Baghdad. This tour is donation-based to support our local guides and our project. There’s no preferred amount, donate as much you think you’ve enjoyed, appreciating the local guide time and effort would motivate them to keep this walking tour alive.

What you will learn ?
The History of Al-Rasheed Street and Its most important Events
Then, we’ll explore Al-Mutanabbi Street, a famous Baghdad street lined with bookstores. Grab a cup of tea at a traditional cafe and chat with locals about why this street is special.
Afterward, we’ll take a boat across the Tigris River to explore the other side of Baghdad. Along the way, you’ll learn how the river shapes the city and how the two sides have developed their own unique cultures. pen_spark
Saving the best for last, we’ll wander through the charming narrow streets of Old Baghdad, soaking up the atmosphere. Our final stop will be the modern Hafia Street, where we can learn about the contrasting histories of these two fascinating Baghdad areas.
